Multistage Pumps efficiently achieve high pressure & flow at lower power usage with very quiet running.

Higher-flow water delivery for larger homes

This horizontal multistage pump offers a combination of higher flow and pressure for larger homes with high-pressure hot-water systems and tapware, where several outlets may be used at once.

Suitability depends on your simultaneous water demand, pipework, elevation and any filtration equipment. Check the Performance tab or contact us for help choosing the right setup.

Pump & Purify Multistage pumps have been constructed to a proven design, using high quality metal components, and exacting manufacturing standards.

Use Multistage Pumps in pressure systems delivering household water, irrigation, washing facilities, feeding troughs and many other applications.

We recommend that the pump and controller are plugged into a Belkin (or similar) Surge Protection device. RCD's in the power board may not provide sufficient protection from brown-outs, black-outs and power surges.

We also recommend that a pre-filter is installed inline prior to the pump suction to avoid debris being sucked into the impellers and causing damage.

Performance

Designed for applications requiring higher delivery pressure. This pump may suit homes with longer pipe runs, an uphill supply or two storeys, provided its performance matches the flow and pressure required.

  • Maximum head: 55 metres
  • Maximum pressure: approximately 78 PSI / 5.4 bar
  • Maximum flow: 116 litres per minute
  • Maximum suction lift: 6 metres, subject to installation conditions

Maximum head and maximum flow are separate limits. The pump curve shows the pressure available at your required flow rate.

This pump is not self-priming. The pump and suction pipework must be filled with water before starting. A correctly installed non-return valve helps retain prime.

Control Options

Choose your preferred setup from the dropdown above. The price updates with your selection.

Pump only
For installations using an existing compatible control system, or where controls will be supplied separately. Contact us if you need help checking compatibility.

Pump with automatic pressure controller
Automatically starts the pump when water is used and stops it when demand ends. Suits straightforward installations where the controller’s operating settings match the system requirements. Longer pipe runs and elevation differences need to be considered when selecting controls.

The controller carries a 2-year warranty. We recommend suitable surge protection to help protect its electronics.

Pump with mechanical pressure switch and 8L pressure tank
Provides adjustable start and stop pressures, with a small water reserve to help reduce frequent pump starts during small water draws.

This setup can be a better choice for more demanding installations, including longer pipe runs, elevation changes or specific pressure requirements. The pressure switch responds to system pressure, while an automatic controller typically starts on a pressure drop and stops when flow ceases. Its operating settings may not suit every installation.

Larger pressure tanks are available. Contact us if you need a larger water reserve or help choosing the right setup.

Please note: The usable water reserve is less than the tank’s stated capacity and depends on the pressure settings. A pressure tank can reduce cycling, but leaks and dripping taps should still be repaired.

For help choosing, read our Pressure Tanks vs Controllers guide or contact us with details of your installation.

FAQs

These would make a useful FAQs tab for this pump. I’d keep the answers short, with links to the longer guides.

Will this pump suit my home?

The right pump depends on your required flow and pressure, water source, pipework and elevation—not simply the number of bathrooms. This model is an option for higher-pressure applications. Send us your installation details and we can help check suitability before you order.

Does it deliver 80 litres per minute at 81 PSI?

No. Maximum flow and maximum pressure are separate limits. The pump curve shows how much pressure is available at a particular flow rate. See the Performance tab for this model’s curve.

Is this pump self-priming?

No. The pump and suction pipework must be filled with water before starting. Self-priming pumps can clear air from their suction pipework under specified conditions, but generally still need an initial water fill.

What is priming, and how do I do it?

Priming means filling the pump and suction pipework with water and removing trapped air so the pump can move water correctly.

With the power isolated, follow the pump’s installation instructions to fill and vent the system through the designated priming point. Refit the plug before starting. Never run the pump dry. If it does not deliver water, stop it and check the installation rather than leaving it running.

Why do I need a non-return valve?

A non-return valve allows water to flow in one direction. In a suction-lift installation, a suitable non-return valve—or a foot valve at the submerged inlet—helps prevent water draining back and losing prime. Correct positioning, flow direction and airtight suction connections are essential.

Can this pump draw water from below its position?

Yes, within its stated maximum suction lift of 6 metres and suitable installation conditions. That figure is a limit, rather than a guarantee for every setup. Pipe length, diameter, fittings and restrictions affect suction performance. Contact us before ordering if your pump will sit above the water level.

Should I choose a controller or a pressure tank?

An automatic controller provides convenient on/off operation when water is used. A mechanical pressure switch and tank provide adjustable start and stop pressures, with a stored water reserve that helps reduce pump starts.

The right choice depends on your pipework, elevation, pressure requirements and water-use pattern. See our Pressure Tanks vs Controllers guide for more detail.

Can I use my existing controller or pressure tank?

Possibly, provided the equipment is compatible with this pump and correctly set up. Send us the controller model, tank details and photos of your existing installation so we can help check.

Why does my pump keep starting when no taps are being used?

Possible causes include dripping taps, a leaking toilet cistern, pipe leaks or a non-return valve allowing water to drain back. On tank-controlled systems, tank pre-charge or pressure-switch settings may also need checking. A larger tank can reduce starts, but it does not fix a leak.

Do I need a filter before the pump?

The pump needs a clean water supply. Where debris could enter, a suitable inlet strainer or correctly sized pre-filter may help protect it. However, a restrictive or blocked filter on the suction side can starve the pump of water. Ask us about the best arrangement for your source and installation.

Do I need surge protection?

We recommend suitable surge protection, particularly when using an electronic controller. An RCD provides a different type of electrical protection and does not replace a surge protector. Surge protection also does not guarantee protection against every power-supply problem.

Will the pump make my water safe to drink?

No. A pump moves water; it does not remove contaminants or disinfect it. Rainwater, bore and surface-water supplies may require testing, filtration and UV treatment. See our Why Filter Your Water? guide.

Are spare parts available?

Contact us with the model/SKU, a photo of the pump and details of the part you need. We can confirm the correct replacement and its availability before you order.

Where is this pump made?

This pump is manufactured in China. Country of manufacture alone does not determine quality: materials, component selection, manufacturing standards and testing all matter. See the Construction tab for this model’s materials and warranty information.

The priming and valve guidance follows general manufacturer guidance; the instructions supplied with this pump should govern the installation.
