Overview

Higher-head clean-water transfer and circulation

The BLC120/110 series is a compact, horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump for clean-water transfer and circulation.

It offers greater head than the BLC70/55 at comparable flow rates, making it an option where additional delivery pressure is required.

Suitable applications may include irrigation, vat washing, aquaculture and compatible clean-in-place (CIP) systems, where its performance and materials match the installation’s requirements.

Its AISI 304 stainless steel pump body and impeller are paired with Viton O-rings and a carbon/ceramic/Viton mechanical seal.

Choose single phase or three phase to match your available power supply. Both options have a 1.1kW motor.

For vat washing or CIP, confirm the cleaning solution, concentration and operating temperature before choosing. Temperature capability alone does not establish chemical compatibility.

Performance

Approximate readings from the supplied BLC series graph:

  • Maximum head: approximately 27 metres
  • Head at 50 LPM: approximately 24 metres
  • Head at 100 LPM: approximately 20.5 metres
  • Head at 150 LPM: approximately 15 metres
  • Published curve: extends to approximately 185 LPM at 11 metres head

Follow the orange BLC120/110 curve. Available head decreases as flow increases. The curve endpoint is not confirmation of the absolute maximum flow.

Allow for elevation, pipework losses and the pressure required by your equipment.

FAQs

Which phase option should I choose?
Choose the version compatible with your available power supply. The BLC120/110 uses 220–240V single phase. The BLC120/110T requires 380–415V three phase. If unsure, check with your electrician before ordering.

Does the three-phase version provide more pumping capacity?
Both versions have a 1.1kW motor and are represented here by the supplied BLC120/110 performance curve. The phase option identifies the required electrical supply.

How does this differ from the BLC70/55?
The BLC120/110 provides greater head at comparable flow rates. Compare the labelled curves against your required flow and head rather than choosing by motor power alone.

Will it suit my vat-washing system?
Suitability depends on the required flow and head, pipework, wash temperature and cleaning solution. Send us your existing pump details and washing-system requirements so we can help check.

Can it handle CIP cleaning solutions?
It may suit compatible CIP applications, but the chemical, concentration and temperature must be checked against the pump materials and seal. It is not suitable for every cleaning solution.

Can it handle hot or chilled liquids?
The specified range is −20°C to +104°C. The liquid must remain fluid, and the system must be suitable for the operating temperature and pressure.

Does it produce 8 bar?
No. That is the maximum operating-pressure rating. The supplied curve shows approximately 27 metres maximum head, with less head available as flow increases.

Does it include automatic controls?
No automatic control package is identified in the supplied specifications. Contact us to confirm the equipment included and any controls required.

Does it need priming?
Follow the supplied filling and venting instructions before starting. Do not assume it is self-priming or run it without liquid.

Does thermal overload protection prevent dry running?
Thermal overload protection should not be treated as dry-run protection. The installation must maintain a suitable liquid supply.

Can I close the discharge while it runs?
The installation must provide suitable control or protection for periods of no flow. Do not leave the pump running against a closed discharge.

Can it pump dirty water?
This model is specified for clean water. Contact us before using it with liquids containing solids or debris.

Are spare parts available?
Contact us with the model/SKU, photos and details of the part required so we can confirm compatibility and availability.
