Submersible Cutter/Macerator Pump – 500W
Couldn't load pickup availability
Overview
A compact, heavy-duty submersible cutter/macerator pump designed for effluent, dirty water, drainage and compatible septic or aerated sewage treatment systems.
Unlike conventional vortex pumps that rely on large solids passages, the GC-07A incorporates a hardened stainless steel cutting mechanism to reduce suitable wastewater solids before discharge.
Its 32mm outlet and high-head design make it a practical option for wastewater installations where smaller discharge pipework is required.
The pump features a cast iron body, cast iron seal plate, SUS440C cutter, double mechanical seal and efficient vortex flow channel design.
Supplied complete with an automatic float switch, 10m power cable and three-pin plug, the GC-07A is ready for installation into a suitable wastewater pumping system.

Performance
The GC-07A is designed for wastewater pumping where a cutting mechanism and relatively small discharge outlet are beneficial.
Pump performance
- Maximum head: Approximately 10m
- Maximum flow shown on curve: Approximately 140 L/min at low head
- Motor power: 0.5kW / 0.7HP
- Outlet: 32mm
Approximate performance at different flow rates
- 20 L/min — 9.5m head
- 40 L/min — 9.0m head
- 60 L/min — 8.5m head
- 80 L/min — 7.7m head
- 100 L/min — 6.3m head
- 120 L/min — 4.0m head
These are approximate readings from the manufacturer's GC-07A performance curve.
Maximum head and maximum flow occur at different operating points. Actual performance depends on vertical lift, discharge pipework, fittings and friction losses.
The cutting mechanism is intended for suitable wastewater solids. It does not mean the pump can process every type of foreign material.

Construction
The GC-07A combines heavy-duty cast iron construction with a hardened stainless steel cutting mechanism.
- Pump body: Cast iron
- Seal plate: Cast iron
- Cutter: SUS440C stainless steel
- Mechanical seal: Double mechanical seal
- Hydraulic design: Efficient vortex flow channel
- Motor insulation: Class B

The cutter reduces suitable solids before they enter the discharge pipework, while the double mechanical seal helps protect the motor assembly against water ingress.
The included automatic float switch controls pump operation according to the water level, provided the float has sufficient clearance to move freely.
Supplied with a 10m electrical cable and three-pin plug.
Warranty: 2 years against manufacturing defects, subject to our general warranty terms.
FAQs
What is the difference between a cutter pump and a vortex pump?
A vortex pump is designed to pass solids through a relatively large opening. A cutter pump uses a cutting mechanism to reduce suitable solids before discharge, allowing wastewater to be pumped through smaller pipework.
Can the GC-07A pump sewage?
Yes, it is suitable for compatible effluent and sewage treatment applications. Confirm the requirements of your particular wastewater system before selecting a pump.
Can it handle wipes and other fibrous materials?
Not necessarily. A cutting mechanism does not guarantee that wipes, rags, sanitary products or other unsuitable materials can be processed without blockage or damage.
Is it suitable for an aerated wastewater treatment system?
Yes, provided the pump's hydraulic performance, discharge connection and operating arrangement meet the system manufacturer's requirements.
Does the GC-07A operate automatically?
Yes. The GC-07A comes with an automatic float switch that starts and stops the pump as the water level changes. The float must have sufficient clearance to move freely.
Does it come with a power cable and plug?
Yes. The GC-07A is supplied with a 10m electrical cable and three-pin plug.
Can it replace an existing sewage pump?
Possibly, but the replacement must match the installation's required flow, head, outlet size and control arrangement. Contact us with your existing pump model and installation details for advice.
What warranty does it have?
The GC-07A comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to our general warranty terms.
